I LOVE patches! The workroom has a bulletin board with the collection pinned up. I can go in there and reminisce or just remind my failing mind what year it was I rode "so and so." Wish more rides had patches.

    this one has patches

Saturday October 1st this looks like a great late season century. They have rides as short as 10 miles on up to a metric. I've heard the route may be similar to the Cinderella, not hilly. It's 20.00, sucha deal. It's a benefit for a school's music program, a cause near and dear to me.

Weather tends to be iffy around that point but...check it out.

I have an old bicycle cap and on it over the years, I've started pinning all the patches, pins, etc., I've gotten from rides. It's sortof a history of my cycling career. I keep the cap, with all the pretty patches, on the halltree in my entry for folks to see. It's a great conversation starter!

-----Whining!!!! -----None of the rides I have gone on have had patches! We do get t-shirts though and I am planning on make a t-shirt quilt out of them when I have enough. BikerHen
