Yeah and I can't stalk you 'cause you keep your miles private.

How many days did you NOT ride this year?

I went indoors with an eCycling class. Oy! The teacher today was a pro triathlete who finished something like third at Kona with a broken saddle. I guess she rode part of it just holding her saddle, and then finally duct taped it on. Makes Coach Troy look like Santa Claus. If I can make it through this 10 pack without hurling, I will be much improved come February.

after a month maybe bit longer of no riding with sore back, I finally felt good enough to ride.

Popped some aspirin about 15 minutes before the ride, streched out carefully, my back, my glutes and hamstring. It was a very pleasant ride today. Just over 18 miles and 1260 feet of climb. Warmed up as I rode to my training ground mostly flat 5 miler then did two sets of climb. Took it pretty easy too. In the hills, I stopped and watched a flock of peacocks, males with their irridiscent plumage showing off to the drab brown colored females. Right in the middle of the road. So pretty. Misty and foggy so everything around were shrouded in the fog. And the birds were so close I could almost touch them. It was really beautiful to watch them dance...

    lovely ride.

I hope to get bit more serious about my riding in 2009. No more false starts and fits... And yes I'm totally out of shape.

AND GOOD RIDDANCE TO 2008. sheesh. It was not a good year

I had a good many indoor days, particularly in December. The weather was colder than normal and wet (potential ice), plus was doing the Concept2 Holiday Rowing Challenge.

For 2009, I hope to crosstrain more, so I expect that my mileage will fall some.

I ended the year by riding 16km out with my partner, and then I returned home while he went on to do 120km all up. I'm not into centuries (metric or imperial) but it was important to me to ride on the last day of 2008 with him.

Thats brought my talley up to 41 bike-rides with him in 2008 (we only managed 18 in 2007).
