Amen! FX did an Ice Age: The Meltdown marathon. Not as good as the original but... I was disappointed that my favorite version of Scrooge wasn't on this year (Alistair Sim).

I really get into the holiday decorating shows usually on HG TV. I live in an apartment and can't do (or afford) most of what they do but I love watching the transformation and trying to figure out ways to adapt some of their ideas.

Whale Rider was on TV1 here in enzed the other day & it's still one of my fave NZ films
I love that movie. Unfortunately it was on one of the premium channels that I don't subscribe to. Will have to look for the dvd.

Another Christmas Story fan here. I am on my fifth year of trying to convince my husband that we NEED a leg lamp to complete our Christmas decorations. He just doesn't see eye to eye with me on this one.
I had seen one of these lamps in a local store and wondered who'd buy one for themselves. Now I know.

    Neil Young

VH1 Classic has been showing Neil Young at the Ryman in Nashville in a documentary/concert film (?2005?) called Heart of Gold. I've watched it twice!

It's awesome. Unlike some music icons, Neil is very open and candid about the inspiration for his songs and actually talks about them in song intros.

    Oh, well.

Thanks for the link . He's such a perfect Scrooge. I think I'm going to order the dvd then I can, to paraphrase Dickens, "keep Christmas in my heart and on my screen year 'round."

I always get my dh a concert dvd for christmas. This years concert was Jimmy Page and Robert Plant Unleadded. It was really good. Not bad for a couple old guys! I didn't like them when I was young I was a child of the 80's but my dh being 10 years older introduced me to them years ago and i fell in love with them. oh and my dh got me Chris Issac's Christmas concert. So we watched that too. Yesterday I went saw the Benjamin Button movie. It was sooooo good I really really liked it! Great writting.
