    Wow, that's excellent advice.

I also like Grits' suggestion of waiting until after Christmas to catch sales.

For running shoes, runningwarehouse.com has excellent prices, a nice selection, free shipping & a good return policy. Like Zappos except cheap (and better running-specific information). I buy running shoes online because I can't find what I like locally, ever (except for nasty winter conditions, when I wear trail shoes, which I do buy locally, I wear lightweight racing flats for training, and apparently that's a low demand item because nobody carries them). I have been running long enough that I have a pretty good idea of what I need in a shoe, though, and I can usually tell immediately when I try a shoe on if it's going to work for me or not, so I can get by with shopping online if the merchant has an easy return policy.

I will say a food processor isn't worht it and I would buy an inexpensive one. I have a Black and Decker my mom bought me because I HAD TO HAVE ONE. I have used it 3 times, to make crust for cheesecake. A houseguest used it once for making salsa. We have owned it since 2005. Luckily my mom bought it on black Friday that year and got it for about $20.

Food processors are one of those things that you are REALLY glad you have when you finally do pull it out! I have a really cheap one and it's incredibly loud. If I had a million dollars, I'd buy a quiet one. I also have a tiny little Black & Decker one that I've used for almost 20 years and it works GREAT, for small things like chopping onions (although I more often use my Ulu knife and bowl for that), and shredding cheese (which I've switched to pre-shredded mostly now that I'm only buying groceries for three).

Speaking of Barenaked Ladies, this was a fun night. They have another cruise coming up in February.

I loved my food processor, and used it at least weekly. ( moved recently and had to leave quite a bit). I'll put it on my christmas list.

Last night boy and I went to the local running store, and both came out with new shoes (his feet are WIERD!!) They were having a buy one, get one 30%off sale. I am now the proud owner of new Mizuno Inspire 4's. I ran my last pair of Mizunos in to the groud, and still wear them as street shoes.

So, now I am fully prepared to run as cross training, and to support the boy in his training for his first 5k in Feburary. I'm feeling like Sporty Spice!

The best part? bf would not take my $100, so I still have it, to stare at every day ... I love him.

Isn't this the boy that bought that Madone or did you buy it?

yup. Boy bought me a Trek 2 weeks ago. It seenms extravagant, but we have quite a love story in which I gave up quite a bit to come back to spend my life with him. He kind of spoils me now. I love him. He also appreciates my need to constantly be on the go, and wants to learn to be moblie with me!

Keeper. Now you could buy that food processor or some cute jerseys. I think TE might still be having a sale.

I've had the same Cuisinart since 1985.
