Nah, I was old on the 17th, but the $100 dollar bill is on my pinboard at home, taunting me with the possibilities.
Be yourself, to the extreme!
Depending on how much running you are going to do I would go with the running shoes. Running is pretty hard on the body, a lot of force goes through your legs and of course your feet. I don't know if you have any foot issues ( neuromas, over pronation, etc) but you dont want to skimp on the shoes. IMOH
If I had the willpower, I would wait until the after Christmas sales.

I agree with Solobiker and Grits. Running shoes are incredibly important in keeping your body in good working order. Replacing knee cartilage is way more expensive than $100. Figure out exactly what you're looking for and then buy it cheap online, maybe at the Christmas sales.(Which if you're listening to the media are happening early this year because retailers are all scared...)
You can find good running shoes for $60 on clearance, that is what I do. Even more likely if you don't wear a size 8.5-9 like me. Try Roadrunner Sports online, good deals there. I could but I won't pay $100 for shoes, makes me nauseated since if you do a fair amount of running they won't last even a year. I only wear them for running but 6-8 months was about as long as I could go when running 4-5 days a week. You can self test your arch and pronation.Oh and I bought my Sidis on clearance for half price so I am just cheap, wouldn't spend $220 on cycling shoes.

Sorry AA, I disagree. I would NOT buy running shoes on line. I would go to a running shoe store (Just like I would not buy a bike without a professional selling to me). Running is HARD on the lower body. If you are serious about it, go get a fit and yes, I spend up to $100 on my shoes. Once you know what works, you can then look for bargins on line.
And since it is B-day $$, it SHOULD be spent! On something you want.
I am a push over for nice jerseys.....a gal has to look good on a bike!![]()
