CC, you will probably have a great ride on the weekend exactly because you had a lousy ride today. Things have a way of working out I'll send lots of butterflies, anyway!

That's quite the bombshell at your work! Yikes! But once you get over the shock, I bet it's going to be a great move for you! Sending job finding butterflies, too!

    Hugs,

How are you feeling these days? I wanted to give you some support in the thread where you mentioned those icky shakes returning, but had no idea what to tell you! I hope that everything improves & your neurologist will be able to assist in finding a reasonable health improvement plan!

I am okay but going drug free at the moment since the Inderal wasn't working. A little furstrated but trying to be upbeat because there are so many worse things I could have. I asked my parents for a weighted pen for Christmas because the hand writing is what really gets me and a weighted pen supposedly helps. I was able to address all my Christmas cards for family though and they are legible. Thank you for asking.

Hope the job search goes well for you, that is quite a bomb to drop on you but at least they sound supportive at the moment in helping you find something.

The persons that started the threads asked that they be deleted. Sorry, but I must follow their wishes.
Snap, I'm sorry, I understood that you wanted it locked, you'd discussed moving it, advocated starting a new TD ...

If'n you want to start a new drift, we could ask Susan and Jeff to lock this one. Then it is saved for "posterity" I didn't realize the massive post counts would go down when the other 2 threads went poof.
To those who want snippets of the old TD OTA (flashes copy in my raincoat) is is available online somehow in snippets or entire if one knows how/where to look.

I understand it's available in a coffee table sized book for reprint. through Time/Life books, only 9.99 a month and you can cancel at any time!

Philosophicly I feel maybe it's best that TD move on and begin anew. But I do ask that those who miss original drift respect my/our wish for privacy.

Long live TE & TD (of any sort)

Does it have glossy color photos? Black market books, oooooooh, and I'm CERTAIN we can trust Trek.

BSG: Didn't several of us tell you to turn Ruby's adventures into a book??? But you had so many other projects that took priority. Oh well, as my grand-nephew says. When I lose text during a writing project (which happens from time to time) I always console myself that if it was worthwhile, it will come back to me, very likely in improved form. So I start again, and sure 'nuff, the reconstructed text is often better than the draft I lost. So get those Ruby photos collected in a file and start turning them into a book. And remember to let us know when it's available at local bookstores near us.
Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

Not true for OT:A I'm afraid. WayBackMachine cannot access anything but the first page of OT:A. If you know differently, or can help me out here then please let me know. I would really like to save some of my old Ruby mini-stories back from oblivion.

Yeah, that was cute storyline. You have a great imagination so I'm sure it won't be the end of the Ruby saga...

Well, we moved our new-to-us entertainment center in last night. We ended up renting a small uhaul enclosed trailer to haul it home. It came with a 32" tv. That thing alone almost killed us getting it up the stairs to our 2nd story apartment. Any future tv purchases will be of the much lighter, flat screen kind. We decided our best course of action was to partially disassemble the center for move in. We took off the top, sides, shelves, glass doors... still almost killed us. It's nice though. The old adage is true... never go yard saleing in a poorer neighborhood than your own. Or craigslisting for that matter. We ended up putting the tv in and then putting the top on. It was a lot easier that way. We put our old center out for free. I hope someone can use it. It's still nice just not what we needed.

In all of this, we reorganized the whole living room, dining room, closet space... for optimum space saving, storage... we have an entire closet for bikey stuff now. The bikes are up on wall racks, the computer desk is downstairs now so Kit doesn't have to feel so far away when she is doing her homework. The loft is a total mess. That will be dealt with after the holiday. My arms are still shakey and weak from yesterday. We won't even discuss my back and my arse and how bad they hurt. I'm so glad I'm on vacation this week.

Some vacation, X! There are those among us that might call what you've been doing "work"! Glad you're liking your re-org. Has me inspired to get going on more of ours. We have a friend staying with us next Thursday night (Nine Inch Nails concert), it would be nice to have some of the messier parts of the house in some kind of order.

    Hugs and butterflies,

There just isn't enough ben-gay somedays... *creak, moan*

I need some nice but CHEAP picture frames.

And more printer ink. Dangit. Why do they make the cartridges so small these days? I wonder if there are other sizes I can use on that one. I have to look this up. We have a refill place up the street but they just don't end up working too well. *sigh*

Time to get out the bike and go for a ride I guess. Yippee!!!! Any excuse is a good excuse.

Plaxo is wrong. I habitually lie about my age/birthday to entities that i don't trust. having said that, on Friday I will be 57.
and for almost a week, my husband and I will be the same age.
