OMG, they are darling! They are all "fighting", licking and nipping each other, and squeaking at the moment. We just got a puppy this spring, so this sure does bring back memories. Every now and then one will cry as if it's really in pain, but I know that's the way litters learn limits. It's a bit distressing to listen too, though.

I expect they'll all be snoozing in a minute or two.

Ok, so they were all just yippng and fighting in a little pile. Then the human mom said "eh eh, careful" and they all immediately rolled onto their stomachs and looked at here. And now they are just ignoring each other. Obviously this human mom is really really on top of things! Amaaaaazing.

Here's the link to the NPR bit this morning on the dogs.

Hmmmm...It seems that the human just took out the big foam and fleece dog bed. so now all 6 puppies are "dog-piled" and trying to sleep in the wire kennel. I wonder when their new families will take them away? Tokie

I think that was just for cleaning purposes.
Notice all the pee-pee pads are gone.

I think the first pups are going to their new homes this weekend. 8 weeks is about right, my first corgi came home at 8 weeks, Chloe came home at 12 weeks.

The dreaded warning... this coming weekend (Dec 6-7th) will be when the first couple of pups will be heading off to their new homes. Yes, it has been and will continue to be really hard for us to let each pup go but we're confident that they are going to extremely loving and caring homes.

We'll be arranging at keast a yearly meet-up (if not more) with the pups that will be going to homes in California. We'll have to post a link to where everyone can go to get updates, progress and pictures on the litter as they grow.

The pee pads are behind the patio door.
