Have to say I do tend to feel the same. But unlike you, I have to get up at 4:30 am during the week, to get to work..cycling is only a small part of my long commute.
So weekends I do allow myself to sleep in..an acceptable sleep-in is 7:00-7:30 am ...which right now I've gone overtime!
But in the past few months, I realize I've been sleep-deprived and I don't realize this until I do allow myself to sleep in abit longer...and feel more refreshed because I allowed myself to sleep abit more.
But yea, in warmer seasons, I get there on the bike earlier on weekends. Shopping is also more enjoyable during earlier part of morning which is how I plan my ride on Sat. after 2 hrs. of riding or so.
