First snow ride of the season - w00t!

I hear New York state got a bit of the white stuff yesterday! Bleeker--are you out in it?

Where we are (near Albany, not that far north) we got some pretty flurries late yesterday afternoon, and got about a half inch of snow overnight....but it's all melted now because it's been about 35-40F degrees and windy.
I went for a brisk 5 mile walk this morning in the cold wind- that was fun!
While walking through the town I saw some cars with about 3" of snow on them...people driving in from the nearby hill towns.

Got my major wool artillery, got my heavy hiking boots, got my snowshoes. I'm ready for any snow that comes along- hope it's more than the cheesy amount we got last year!

I agree with Bleeker, the snow fall last year was not that great in our neck of the woods. I so want more snow this year.
Yesterday We had slush on the roads, and a good 1 inch or so on cars, but a wet covering on the ground. I bundled up and drove to town, where I looked like an eskimo compared to the townies...The wind was bad, And my dad stopped to see if I was gonna ride my bike or not...isn't he funny?
