Sounds good! 50 wasn't THAT hard we didn't take a break soon enough tho we both were feeling it in our crotch area we decided to take breaks every hour or sooner!

OHHHH and did I forget to mention that our AVS was 14????

I am ready for the century! I just know it will be great, it is late Sept so the weather will be perfect here.

Gas just went up AGAIN here I may be driving 1/2 way to work then riding my bike, it was $2.39 this morning as I passed the pump, I went back by on my way to P/T and it was $2.44, within 2 hours

I need to get my motorcycle license, I have one waiting on me to ride, it gets 47 mpg, but I really like riding my bike, guess I could ride one every other day.

I've never done 50, either. Great going, Trigurl! Can't wait to hear your century report!! I want to be able to do a metric by the end of the year. We'll see how it goes.

    Thumbs up Good Job

    Well done Trigurl
You have inspired me - I am still trying to reach 50KMS never mind 50 Miles.
I will keep you in mind next time I try to ride those extra kms.

Quick question - on average how many stops do riders normally make on a 50 mile ride?

Trek, I think you should stop as often as you feel you must. I just go slow, drink a lot, pace mysel and enjoy the ride if I'm going for a new distance. The speed can come after you've accomplished the mileage goal. My longest ride to date is about 40 miles, and on that ride I just stopped often and took one long break, and at the halfway point I ate a Gu packet.
