Cabela's! Yep, I just got back. My partner said I needed to tell ya'll what I got so you could laugh like she did. LOL! She didn't laugh to make fun of me...I just look a little...um...bright. So here's the story:
    1. I needed baselayer so I got that (these aren't the funny part)
    2. I needed water proof...so I got a pair of REALLY bright blue pants.
    3. Warm wear, I had that, a red fleece sweat shirt type thing
    4. A bright, hunter orange fleece vest that fits over everything including my backpack....Everybody will see me now! Haha. As soon as I get batteries for the camera I'll take a pic...this is funny. Add my blue helmet, yellow road ID, green socks and I definitely stop traffic!
    See ya,
    Gray
Incidentally, there is nothing wrong with shopping at Cabela's...it's my favorite spot for all kinds of things. I just think it's funny that everything is so bright!

I love Cabelas! Sounds like you made out like a bandit, Gray, and now you won't get accidentally shot by any hunters (bonus!) and will be visible to cars. I picked up some really nice, high quality belts there. It's also where I bought my golden retrievers freeze dried pheasant wings for "retrieving" playtime.

    I didn't realize there was a Cabela's in or near Morgantown (I'm a WVU grad--class of '85!!).

LOL!! That it is. There is a Cabela's just outside of Wheeling, WV. It's been there for about 5 years I think. They were having a pretty good sale going on so I did get some cool stuff. Oh, I also got a Case pocket knife on sale. Did ya'll kknow they are going out of business? That's just a shame.
    Have a great one.

No, no! Cabela's is not going out of business...Case...the knife company is going out of business. I collect knives and was really bummed about that news. It had absolutely nothing to do with the thread but I mentioned it anyway. No, Cabela's is just fine. They're going as strong as ever.

I don't know what's going on with Case. Apparently they just came out with a new line hoping to drum up some interest. According to the guy yesterday, it isn't working. He said that people just aren't interested in carrying the traditional looking pocket knives anymore. That's a real shame. My favorites in my collection are trappers and whittlers. He told me I should hang on to them because I'm probably sitting on some money. I told him I didn't care about the money. i've had my first whittler for 20 years...I'm keeping it!
