Thanks!!! we ride in the hills all the time and the century is south of us so it will be less hilly so we figure we will ride 80 miles here in the hills so 100 on a relatively flat course should be nothing. She is going out of town this w/e so I don't know if I will be able to make myself ride that far again, so I hope to ride more during the week, I rode 140 miles last week so I hope to ride near that this week

trigurl way to go! when I bought my first bike my big goal was to do a 53 mile fun ride called Rosarito to Ensanada in Mexico... when I achieved it I got a "gearhead" tattoo on my back!

it's certainly a big accomplishment! can't wait to hear how great you do on that century!!!

Bikerz... you GO! You can do it!!!

Hey AG - I know!! You said that Monterey ride is 46 miles - so I'm thinking of getting to the parking lot early and riding around for 4 miles before we start so I can call that day a 50 mile day!

And Trigurl - people have told me that once you've ridden 50 miles, the century is totally do-able - it's mostly mental after that! (or so they say! )

Sounds good! 50 wasn't THAT hard we didn't take a break soon enough tho we both were feeling it in our crotch area we decided to take breaks every hour or sooner!

OHHHH and did I forget to mention that our AVS was 14????

I am ready for the century! I just know it will be great, it is late Sept so the weather will be perfect here.

Gas just went up AGAIN here I may be driving 1/2 way to work then riding my bike, it was $2.39 this morning as I passed the pump, I went back by on my way to P/T and it was $2.44, within 2 hours

I need to get my motorcycle license, I have one waiting on me to ride, it gets 47 mpg, but I really like riding my bike, guess I could ride one every other day.

I've never done 50, either. Great going, Trigurl! Can't wait to hear your century report!! I want to be able to do a metric by the end of the year. We'll see how it goes.
