TAPER WEEK! I will force myself not to run. (although I was told 2 miles would be OK one day this week...). I swam today, and am planning on swimming Wed. and Fri. (easy and slow).

Chicago Marathon on Sunday, my first full! Im so excited/nervous/lots of other things.

Any marathoners out there: advice???
You will have so much fun!!! I second what Colby said. This is your reward for all your training

I'd say don't go out too fast...my strategy (of course being sick changed it all up) was to stay at a low HR until mile 18-19. Look around as you run, notice all the entertainment and people out cheering, and just enjoy the experience. As a race official said last Sunday, "you only get one first marathon AND it will be a PR no matter what your time is. Enjoy this one."

I can't wait to hear how your race goes!
