So, I rode it alone after all, but still had a great time. OneLessCar did an excellent job. The Waterfront Park in Canton was a much better start/finish point than last year's in Fells Point, and their new pre-registration idea made the start run very smoothly-- Anyone who pre-registered received a number in the mail to pin to their jersey. With that number, all you had to do was show up, grab a cue sheet, and head out. Like last year, the route was so well marked that the cue sheet stayed in my pocket the entire ride. I didn't check out the pizza party afterwards (other afternoon commitments), but the mid-ride rest stop was a very welcome treat (fruit, bagels, cookies, pistachios!, etc).
No pics, even though there were several places where I wished I could have snapped a shot, 'cause Bawl'mer's just got so much character. But this was my first ride in almost a month and it felt so good to be pedaling that I just didn't want to stop. And I think I've decided I get a kick out of riding in the city. When's our next DC Tour?
