Fastdogs.....I so sorely miss my mtb I lost in the house fire. It was a cheap clunker but it was so great on the millions of local dirt trails. I just don't have the same sense of security on the Trek Hybrid.

I want the flexibility that I don't have with the Trek Hybrid and thought, if I can find a lightweight mtb I might be able to use it as my bad/cold weather commuter too. You know, any excuse to buy another bike....

Of course the ideal would be to find a light mtb that also has an almost step-through aspect but there I'm probably dreaming. Besides, I am getting better at getting my complaining leg over the bike and where would be the challenge if things were too easy.
