Boy, one week of not much exercise and eating whatever I want and I'm up more than a pound. 120.8 this morning. I'd better sign up for another race...

A cold and cough have kept me from exercising for about two weeks, and I'm bummed out. Plus, during my physical exam this week, my doctor gave me an ultimatum to lose weight. So, no more "playing around" for me. As for my weight this week . . . no change. I'll be out of town for the next two weeks, so won't be able to report in, unfortunately.

Still 142 - no progress but at least I stopped gaining. I had to actually increase my calories because I was exercising so much. weights twice a week, spin class 3 times a week, yoga once a week and two bike rides a week of no less than 25 miles each.

I also have been on a beta-blocker medication for 10 years, that I'm embarrassed to say I didn't know why I was on it. It kept my heart rate low. I fired my old doctor and hired a new one who has since removed me from 4 prescription meds that I have taken for a long time including a blood pressure medication and the beta blocker with no ill result. In fact, I have more energy now than I have for years and I am on the high-side of 50 close to kissing 60 years old. And my b.p. is normal!

Now my body is just starting to learn how to function properly without the meds and I remember that I have to eat the calories that I work off. By the next challenge I will get it together!

143.1 yesterday morning... still pretty much where I started. I was (hopefully from water retention!) over 146 last weekend though, yikes. So at least I'm finally heading back down.

3 weeks on.. still no bike...

Bike is still in the shop because bike guy wanted to wrangle some extra money out of me... long story. but he's said he will fix it 'at his cost' even though he is still trying to make me look like loose ball bearings are my fault.

    so no riding.

    bad weather, so no swimming.

    some running

no weighing scale so no weighing.

I guess the weight loss needs to wait.

hopefully the next challenge will be less challenging.

Bouncing up and down in a 3lb window so I'll go with 164 for my final weight. 130 miles this week. Very tired after today's ride, haven't been eating too well lately.
