I have only bought two things and neither were very strange:

Chocolate candy labels for my wedding
Park Tool Toilet Paper Holder (wait that was Craigslist)

How about the strangest thing sold on Craigslist/Ebay? I sold my used kitchen sink. We got a better one free from my uncle, pulled the cheapo builder one out and sold it. I thought it was weird to be able to sell a used sink.

I bought a very strange pair of Marimekko pants, black capris with white writing all over them (going in a horizontal direction), for $0.99. So not flattering. I'd have to be another foot tall to carry them off.

They are kind of cool though, so they hang next to my vintage '70s teal ultrasuede shirtdress that I've also never worn. It actually looks good on me, but my lifestyle hasn't seen the right event for this. Not a big disco scene here.

My FDH bought "Pablo the drunk Mexican," a papier mache guy sitting cross-legged with a long mustache, a sombrero, and a bottle of hooch. A bike shop owner was closing his store and selling everything off on Ebay. Why he couldn't have just bought a cheap derailer or cassette, I don't know. But I fear that Pablo will stare at me from across the room eternally when we finally move in together.

How about the strangest thing sold on Craigslist/Ebay?

I sold a 100 amp breaker box once on CL. DH was amazed that anyone would want it. And an old toaster oven that worked fine, but had a broken handle.

I gave away a few things, too: a light post, a broken CD player (kept skipping), a busted shop vac, a busted washing machine. People like to fix up the strangest things. But at least they stayed (temporarily) out of the landfill.

No? How about a Members Only jacket? (80's theme new years eve party!)

The oddest thing I've bought personally was lipstick. There was this color that I loved that had been discontinued. A girl was selling an unopened one, so I bought it. Kinda gross...I know. The things we'll do for beauty.

Oh, I also bought iced tea spoons to go with our flatware. Not really odd, but certainly random.

Years ago (close to ten years, I think) I bought a Colorforms ad from the 1960's that had been pulled out of a magazine. I think I also bought a Slinky ad from roughly the same era. I had them framed for display in my office. I then lost them when I moved to Seattle. *sigh*

Four oompa loompa wigs for our Willy Wonka themed prom in May. I have purchased a few gag gifts out of the weird and strange category, but I don't remember what they were.
