Gorgeous photos, withm. I wish we'd had that sky back in May, instead of the gloomy one we rode beneath. And, of course, I hope we have a beautiful blue one like that in May '09!

Wow. Thanks for the pix! It's got me dreaming of sunnier days next May!
A couple of the folks from my LBS group ride were at that time trial. One woman I know did okay in her 50+ group. Didn't quite reach her goal, but said the winds picked up pretty good. She did come in second with her tandem partner later on (pretty darned good considering they BOTH raced already that day!). She rocks.

Oh, I didn't see this till now - it looks like registration is filled up.

How're the mosquitos/ticks around there? I try to kayak camp on Assateague in early spring and late fall to avoid the bugs, and I always end up getting eaten alive.

DANG! I just told my DH today that I really wanted to do this ride next year and it's already closed!! Their forum said they would open slots as they had cancellations though, so I'll keep an eye on it.

As long as the day looks like the one in WithM's pictures, I'll be glad!

Still don't have a hotel, and I haven't given the ride much more thought since I registered.
