At the beginning to middle of my rides, I am an expert at snot rockets! Ok, some get blocked by my right sleeve/shoulder but for the most part they end up right where I want them..on the ground behind me. After awhile, my nose stops running and I can ride in peace. I used to stop and blow my nose all the time, it just got where I ran out of kleenex's and I would wash a few and it just got to be too time consuming. I can multi task by blowing and riding at the same time.

I found using my sinus rinse (similar to a neti pot) helps reduce the inflammation in my nose, thus reducing the snot. I also use it after a ride to clean the spring pollens. So far it helps tremendously. Hubby heard on NPR that using a rinse definitely decreases colds and flus and the body builds higher levels of albumin to ward off illness.
