My thermostat doesn't talk, but it is programmable. That is a wonderful thing.

It was 104 here yesterday. But we've got a cold front coming in!!! Party!

I think we hit the mid 60's here in lovely Seattle today. And it was never bright enough to cast a shadow. I was ecstatic. More than 3 days of sunshine in a row and I get irritable.

(and I got to wear a long sleeved shirt and a wool hoodie over it ALL DAY! yeah!)

Really? The A/C is still cranked to keep the house down to 74. And today was much cooler than yesterday - cool enough to race the time trial. Yay!

I can't imagine how painful it would have been to be without A/C at higher and humid temps. YIKES!!!

Glad you're like the cooler weather, KY. We don't want to see you get irritable or anything....

Yeah, and if I moved to the PNW, I'd need a sunlamp. If I go more than 3 days without sunshine I get seriously cranky.

And yet, somehow Seattle still draws me.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch, the repaired a/c is humming along, and the car battery died. Spent 3 hours last evening in the PepBoys waiting room. Here's my credit card...

Just when I get it under control, even treat myself to some cycling duds. It isn't fair!!!!

When my battery died I decided to play mechanic and change it out myself...the pair of pants I ruined cost more than a real mechanic would have.

The house is shaping up, finally!! I've been doing back breaking labor cleaning up the "nature trail" and about 20 trees and shrubs that are in the way of the new to-be-built garage. Soon I'll have a place to put the bikes (and scooters/kayaks/air compressor/car...).

How come the weathermen have said it would be thundershowers for like, seven days straight, and we hadn't had a one? And sorely need it?

Threats of thunderstorms make me not want to ride... so then, I don't ride, and get anxious about not riding, so then when I do decide to just go ahead and ride, I panic that I made the wrong decision and am going to get struck by lightening.
I can do five more miles.

Beth- I am the same way, hate days of overcast yet long to move to the PNW??

They are cleaning the windows behind me (4th floor) it is kind of freaking me out to have someone outside my window. Well other than my pigeon I call Pat.

    What's the story there???

So it is nice and cool here now (has been downright cold all week), but we're headed for some hot weather now I think. My sort of sister is coming for a few days and we're riding bikes this afternoon I think. Hot weather would be ok for that.

I think they need to offer an Adult Ed class on internet acronyms and protocol, I can't tell you how much time I've spent staring at a screen scratching my head while trying to discern meaning from seemingly random letter groupings.

I have someone from a forum where I used to be a huge contributor following me around the net and being a mildly menacing jerk. Since we've met in real life and he knows where I live it creeps me out a bit.

I thought a change in user name would make it more difficult for him AND not end up ruining TE for me.

Ew - that is nasty! Sorry. Is it that big moto forum that starts with "A"? Haven't been there in a while...

Wow - sorry. That totally blows. Losers.

We went to a motorcycle shop last night and they had some amazing stuff (BMW clothes, etc.) Wow you can spend so much money on that stuff. I like my super cheap Joe Rocket jacket. It works. But wow, those are so pretty. Oh well.

Then we had to go get DH emergency new tires as he'd gotten tread separation on one going over the Richmond Bridge - in the car we just drove to Oregon - and he was lecturing ME about needing new tires!!

At least there's a super British pub by the tire store. Mmm. Black and tan.

Did you try on any of the BMW stuff? Their womens stuff fits great and wears like iron!
