Yay Mimi! That's what we do around here. Remember that day about five years ago when we had 5 inches of rain? Chris did his 34-mile round trip commute that day. He was very pleased with himself.
Hard to live here if you don't do stuff in the rain.

update:
It is pouring outside. If this keeps up there will be flooding.
However, it didnt start raining hard until after i got home
I was presented with a light misting rain all the way home.
Raleighdon, on the other hand... is going to really get wet!

I went out running and got soaked
After my initial fear of water, it was really fun. The cyclists and runners I saw (one of each) were happy. The pedestrians looked miserable and the drivers looked impatient. I saw a robin eating worms, a nun in full nun-gear (I thought they were plain clothes now?), a parking enforcement officer, and a LOT of City Light workers repairing damaged electrical lines. I said hi to all of them, including the robin.
It's funny, if I am traveling from my car to a building I get annoyed if I get wet. I chose to go out and get drenched and it was highly enjoyable. For the cyclists though, ick. I can run in it but I don't enjoy being on my bike in the rain.

Just spoke with a friend who is heading east of the mountains today and he said it was snowing on the Pass... Come on now, it's JUNE!!!!

And yes, I'm depressed with the weather too. I have that SAD thing, so winters are hard for me anyway, but having winter extended into summer is downright torture.Kristen!

It got almost sunny for a bit today. Almost.
I suppose I'm lucky because I travel to warmer places frequently. I am a warm weather weenie though! And I'm a cold weather weenie. I will be a difficult old person, no doubt.
I have a friend with SAD and he's really feeling it right now. It's hard because when he's in it, he kind of sees it but doesn't 100% realize that his feelings are because of that.
We're going to Boston next week and there are days of 90 degree weather with sporadic thunderstorms? ACK! That sounds worse than what we're dealing with right now.

Well, I did something today that as an Oncology nurse, I never ever do. I went tanning. INDOORS. And I loved every single moment. The warmth.........OMG it was heaven.
