I felt the need to revive this thread today, since there seems to be a lot of tension in the air today.

I'm glad my dad's still hanging on. He's one tough cookie. He's lived his life on his terms, with music, love and the greatest joy for life of anyone I know. I hope he gets to go home from the hospital soon (but not too soon, my stepmother needs a break!). He seems to be getting things all wrapped up for a good end to what's been an interesting and fun filled life. He always followed his heart, whether it was the right thing to do or not, and I understand and respect that! It's left him with some regrets, but maybe it's better to have regret for what you did than what you didn't do.

I'm happy to have heard from my long lost half-brother yesterday. We hadn't spoken in 20 years . I was just a kid last time he saw me. We never had a fallout or anything, just circumstances never brought us together until now. Well, I'm glad he's still my brother. We had a good talk. I'm glad he reconciled with our father. He's going to be glad he did, too.

    very cool post, Redrhodie.

I'm grateful I have a nearly-full jar of original chocolate Nutella and a clean spoon. A little moment of primal animal bliss.

Thanks so much to cycling-sarah, who today found the red presta valve cap that I lost yesterday while changing my flat. I know I don't need it, but I cherished that little guy. Just when I was about to give up on the seemingly impossible task of finding it in the grass on the side of the road, she found it. It's good to have friends with eagle eyes, who don't think it's dumb to have sentimental attachments to valve caps

I am thankful many of my favorite fruits are in season. MMMMM.. I just had fruit salad of kiwi, strawberries and the most delicious red grapes I have had in ages. I feel so content and it was all good for me! Yippee for FRUIT!

    Today I am thankful for

    ---Golden Retriever kisses
---Three Goldens smiling, wagging, and greeting me at the door after a long day at work
---The sound of clicking Golden toenails on the tile floor
---A wet Golden nose nudging me on my neck
---Sleeping Goldens gently snoring next to me!
---Oh, and my dear husband who is a good sport about having three big Goldens!

I'm very thankful for my Golden today too He's very big, very loud, and was very comforting when a guy "looking for work" who has a very long criminal record knocked on my door not long ago.

I'm also thankful that my kitty is still hanging in there.
