Both my Granny and my mother were named Mildred.
No wonder my mom went by her middle name.

These are all names from a certain era.

I wonder what they'll be saying about Britney , Chloe, Sienna and the like 75 years from now?

The funny thing is, we're laughing at the names of people two or three generations older or younger than we are. We're not thinking about how our/our friends' great-grandchildren are going to be laughing at names like Marie, Laura, Susan or Wendy No, we have classic names that are perpetually in fashion and no one will ever find them laughable.

My grandma's name was Ester. She said if anyone in our family was named after her she would come back to haunt them! that is how much she did not like her name. So when my sister was born after she passed away my mom wanted to give her my grandma's name but instead they stuck an E. in there. So her name is Camerin Leslie E. Bayless. She has not said anything about hauntings so maybe grandma approved?

My grandmothers were Peg and Martha. Not quite your Ednas and Mildreds, but oldies nonetheless. Oddly, after we grandkids were born, Martha wanted us to call her Bambi, and we did.

Btw, Zen, I love your avatar. To me it means you - you add a lot of personality to TE .
