I bet she does get fired. It takes a while to fire someone from a government job. Administrative leave is what happens while things are being investigated and resolved. If her employer fired her without due process she would have grounds for legal action. She wouldn't get her job back, but could probably get a settlement of many thousands worth of taxpayer money.
The BTK killer was fired from his government job not because he was arrested, but because he was jailed so had unexcused absences from work. Someone at my workplace was fired not because a corpse was found in his trunk, but because when the police executed the search warrant on his house they found lots of company equipment in his garage.
