Arghh... I did everything I could to make today's ride longer. I got home and did my download - short .6.

That heat just wipes me out. I'm ready for a nap. I did an extra hill off road and contemplated trying a new trail, but it looked hot. It started off with an exposed climb. It's funny to see how tiny today's road hills were compared to my off road in my download. And amazing how easy they were when I'm not trying to race up them!

0.6 miles? Drag out the tandem, tool the hubby around the block for a celebratory last day of work ride. Put a bottle of the bubbly in that big old bag of yours.

Who knows when he'll be getting home. He's got his last check (wooohooooo!) but he'll stay until everything is set up just right for the new folks. Even though THEY sat on their butts for weeks. I don't think the new company quite realized how much work would be involved in the takeover. They were thinking small company, small work.

in just about 4 hours for you the heat will cool off and the sun will start to set! sounds like the Perfect time to pick up that .6 miles! and yuppers I know what you mean - last night as I was logging my ride I saw I had ridden 24.98 miles. .98?? well poop - if I'd been paying more attention I'da picked up that .02 miles to make it an even 25.
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

    Thom would agree with that!

The best part of being on vacation - I rode hard this morning and I just took a nap. The trouble with afternoon naps is they leave me feeling sort of "fuzzy." I missed part of my shoulders sun screening. So I have funny little burn marks.

Don't know about Thom on the tandem. He's kind of scrunched when he's the stoker.

You're worrying about "scrunched" for six-tenths of a mile and a bottle of bubbly waiting? The sun HAS fried your brains.

I think that is just his "excuse." I think he's a little worried about injuring it again.

And maybe it's my excuse - my legs are TIRED! And I've got a big ride planned tomorrow.

I'll probably tool around the neighborhood after I go to the Farmer's Market. No, I'm not riding to the Farmer's Market. That would require riding past strip mall row and I dislike doing that at commute time.

Although I noticed today that it looks like a bike path may be getting added to the space between some of the stores. That would be nice.
