Hmmm, well, Proteus didn't I don't think but the price was right. Granted, I probably didn't ask enough enough stores but there is something to be said for instant gratification and being able to take a bike home right then and there, right?

Here's my new bike - I got some new purple handlebar tape and my new purple helmet - a birthday present from DGF. I just need to get a computer.

Beautiful bike! I hope you have a great summer of riding it.

I like that you bought through a layaway plan. People don't do that much anymore because credit cards are so easy (too easy!). I remember buying a dress on layaway when I was in high school, and it was so satisfying to go in every week with my payment and then finally take it home--it was mine!

That is a good looking combo.
I've seen those before, I bet you're gonna love it.

Hot stuff--and just in time for great riding weather!

I like layaway, too, when it's available. I bought my current bike on layaway--it was a "leftover" from the previous model year, on clearance. I'd been looking at it for a month or so, and I didn't want someone to buy it out from under me while I saved up for it.
