Actually, I've been laughing about it all morning. It started with the seriously grossed out looks on everyone's face when I tell them about the milk. I've pretty much laughed it all off.

And at the risk of jinxing myself...

my afternoon is going swimmingly so far

That's our yoda! There are some (including me) who might complain and let the little difficulties weight them down, but yoda just laughs.

That's exactly how I feel about it. It's really minor in the global scheme of things.

    wait wait this is funny....
One day my husband blew out he's wrist, ripped his shorts in the crotch and had to duck tape them, got stung by a bee and hit himself in the knee with a pick axe! We were working around him at the time when the axe hit him, we all just started backing away from him.
He got a beer with dinner that night and said it was the best beer he had ever had!

This reminds me of a Kia commercial that I actually like to sing along to

I just can't seem to get it right today,
I just can't seen to get it right today.
Just can't seem to get it right today...
    Guess I'm gonna give up

There is no chunky chocolate milk in that ad, though.

Yes...had one of those mornings this week

I had one of those mornings this week as well. Hubby was away at conference and dog starts going ballistic at 5:30 am. I let her out only to have to get up again in 10 minutes to let her in. At this time I realize the big garage door has been up all night (the cat has a bad habit of tripping it). I pushed the button to put the door down, the dog is going nuts wanting to be fed so I turned to feed her and heard a horrible noise. Turned around to see the cat squished under the big door! So, at 6am (after my vet was terribly rude to me) I got my 11 yr old up and we rushed the cat to the University-Vet School ER room. Long story short the cat is alive and doing well. She had no broken bones but badly damaged lungs. She is healing and getting stronger every day, in fact today she seemed very normal again. Watch your garage doors closely with pets and kids. We've always been careful because she has such a bad habit of running under it at the last minute. This particular morning, I wasn't watching as closely as I should because I was sleepy and had a crazy beagle howling at my feet. It came completely down and was touching the floor, I still have that horrible image in my mind of the poor cat trapped under it. At least she is going to make it and hopefully didn't waste too many lives, she's 10 yrs old and doesn't have many lives left.

I'm feeling sorry for myself today because I'm home sick with a bad cold I felt I could have avoided, but the chunky chocolate milk really made me laugh here. Thanks

But poor cat Isn't that horrible when that happens! I say "when" not "if", 'cos having had cats all my life I know they are perpetually getting themselves intp bad places. I grew up learning to jam my foot into a slamming door, in case there was a cat there. No wonder they have 9 lives - they need them.

Wahine - I hope there was no chunky chocolate milk for you this morning.

mupedalpusher - Whew, I'm glad your kitty made it out. Here's hoping for a speedy recovery. Remind her that she may have 9 lives I but her mama doesn't.
