    My new bike

Hello all, I am a first time poster and long time reader of TE. I started riding again last summer and I really enjoy getting out and enjoying the outdoors and getting exercise at the same time. Last summer I had a roadmaster mt. bike that I bought from Walmart about four years ago. Someone stole it from my front year last fall.

Well today I bought a Diamondback wildwood Lite woman's bike from a local bike shop. A comfort bike

My new bike is alot more comfortable to ride then my old bike. New bike has alot more leg room, the gears were already set at six which was really comfortable, no extra effort needed to ride unlike my old bike which took alot of effort to ride no matter what gear I used. Another plus the new bike has is that it came which a comfort gel seat which is great. Adjusting the seat and changing the tires is simple just by just unlocking the leavers which is easier then dealing nuts and bolts like the old bikes.
I took my bike for a test ride around the neighborhood when I got home. The ride was great even thought the temperature was only 45 degrees and I hadn't ridden since last summer. Temperatures are expected to be in the low sixties this weekend, about time we got some heat around after the long winter we had.

Looks like a really fun bike! I love the sky blue color.
Go kick up some wind on it!

P.S. don't leave it laying out in your front yard.

That thief did you a favor
Remember the most important thing about riding a bike isn't how fast you go or how far, as long as you are having fun you're doing fine

Thanks Zen...I often forget this. But this year, I think it will be for the fun of biking for me, with too many obligations that seem to be keeping me from riding the open road on the weekends. I don't seem to be getting any real road miles so I am going to enjoy the fun of riding whenever I can

Took the words right out of my mouth. I know it's frustrating to have something stolen but at least this story has a happy ending. You will no doubt spend more time on the new bike than you would have the old one.

    Enjoy!
