For our local iron distance event (www.redmantriathlon.com) we've had the aquabike for the HIM distance, and I'm pretty sure we are adding the option of the full IM distance this year. Unfortunately, none of the other shorter races around here offer it.
I did the half IM aquabike last year and I LOVED it. My running had suffered and I was in no shape to do 13 miles (even walking). It was great hammering like all h*@l on the bike and then getting off and being done. I'd love to do it again sometime.

That sounds great! What body of water was the swim in?

The swim is in a rather large lake in town. It's the lake that provides the drinking water for most of the Oklahoma City area, so swimming is prohibited except on race day (and for 2 hours the 2 days before the race for practice swims). It's kind of fun to swim in a lake that I'd be ticketed or arrested for swimming in any other day of the year. I just hope that after the race they run some extra chlorine though the treated water they draw out, cuz you KNOW what triathletes do in water...
