I'm still not sure if I'll participate in the group ride as I'm planning on riding there. We'll see.

I think I'll make kim-bap(Korean for nori roll) or something salad roll like. Salad roll wrappers are made with tapioca starch. I'm guessing that tapioca is G.F. but not sure. There's nothing on the package that say it's made on equipment that processes wheat products but that doesn't mean anything.

    tapioca is great, no problem!

In my case, it doesn't really matter about shared equipment that processes wheat because I don't have an allergy. (I just can't digest gluten, which then sets off a series of yucky events)

Ooooh, I'm getting excited about this, but I really really gotta clean my apartment. Need to rent a backhoe and dumptruck... At least I don't have to worry that you guys will be discomfited by the three bikes, bike trailer, and big Rubbermaid tub of bike-bits in my living room!

I am slightly sub-Athena at the moment. That'll change after the party.

Very well then. I'll figure out a way to throw the stands and an assortment of tools on the Xtracycle with two kids.

My sister and I are almost definitely coming. She needs the fitting, I'm coming for the party and a ride. Knot, could you PM me directions so we know where to look for a hotel. We'll leave Spokane bright and early Saturday morning so should be there just in time for lunch. bikerHen

I've been watching this thread off and on hoping that I don't have to work so we can come up for the day. At this point, I'm off during the day but I'm oncall that night starting at 11pm so no overnight stays this time. Knot, I'll be pm'ing you for directions and will let you know (probably last minute) if we are coming. I have a trainer too if we need another one. Let me know what else we can bring to help out.

Welcome to Portland GLC!! Sorry we haven't gotten to meet you yet even though we aren't that far away in Beaverton. Work and college schedules have been out of control lately. Hope to see you there.

About Wahine's eating habits... all I'm gonna say is, I have no idea where she puts it all.

    Hope to see y'all there.

Glad to hear that you're joining us X and Kit - cool!
And I agree with you re: Yoda...although, remembering that pic of our bad azz Yoda, I think she stashes the grub in her guns!

At this rate, Knot, shall we see if the community center is available?

Ah... so glad I will fit in with this group! Looking forward to the food, and the outing! Oh yeah... the fitting!

Sounds like we have enough trainers -- but in case, I have one.
Do we need to come in shifts?!?!

It'll be cool with the trainers already coming, but if you love and trust your trainer bring it. (or at least bring your trainer skewer if your bike has a funky one)

We'll probably play fitting games one bike at a time so everyone can see what we're looking at. With another stand we can have folks warm up in peace before we walk over and start eyeballing 'em.

TrickyTiger will lead the ride to the beach.

Anybody do yoga and would like to be the yoga guru? I have 2 sheets of yoga poses that are s'posed to be good for cyclists. (I'll make copies for everyone)

My schedule just got kind of up-ended. Looks like Chris will be working in Florida for most of the next 4-6 weeks (bad). He got home late Friday and has to turn right back around and go back tomorrow. I am going to join him there on Saturday and will be there from Saturday the 29th through Sunday April 6. That means I will miss BOTH the bike fit party AND the Seattle tri meeting. Agghh. And I have so many tri questions...clothes, shoes. I have some cool tri books too.

I am really, really sorry I will miss this. Please note---someone should try to bring Gorgonzola-stuffed olives for Knot and X....

Wahine, I'm voting--in ink--for the tri Gorge weekend to be July 19-ish. That doesn't rule out other weekend possibilities--I just mean I can commit to that.

    Bleah.
