You may be eligible to get an Irish (and therefore, European) passport. I don't know what the current rules are, but in the 90s if your grandparents were Irish, you could get citizenship. I have an EU passport, and it's quite handy. Someday maybe I'll live there again, but for now I use it to get through the speedy line at the airport in Paris.

I was all dressed and on my way out the door when I spied a green shirt and thought, "Oh, yea! I better bring something green to change into!"

... and got to work and I was already wearing green. Sioux is *not* a fashionista. Sang "danny boy" and "house of orange" along the way to get in the spirit.

I looked into that a few years ago, it's still an option if I can locate a few more documents.

Happy St. Paddy's Day! I just finished up my Guinness, corned beef, cabbage, and potatoes. (Tomorrow we're having homemade reubens!)

Queen -That would be very cool if you could get an EU passport. I hope you find the documents you need.

    Happy St. Paddy's day all!!!

We've enjoyed our beer (I can't do Guinness - wish I could), and are munching an array of Irish cheeses and bread! Much better than the smoke filled bars around here

I must confess, I did absolutely nothing for St. Paddy's day. Had chili and Lite beer for dinner; oh, and a GREEN salad, does that count? I normally wear green, but today I had to wear Carolina blue to celebrate UNC's victory in the ACC tournament and number one seed in the NCAA. Go Tarheels!

Guess I'll have to fall back on my green eyes....

    I'm still mourning Duke's loss

Funny - I went to Duke Undergrad and Carolina for law, but never developed an affinity for Carolina sports.

Got to go to the first day of the tournament, but sadly didn't get to see Duke play....

    Is this the ride thread?
for Saint Patricks' day I did 50 miles with Raleighdon and PansyPalmetto in Sacramento. We started at our motel in Rancho Cordoba and rode all the way into Old Sacramento mostly via the trail. On the trail we saw all kinds of wildlife including a coyote, a hawk (sharp shinned?) duelling hummingbirds, horny turkeys, magpies & mockingbirds.
Once in Sacramento, we met horses and busy streets,

and then we headed off in search of Pansy Avenue. At Pansy Avenue, Pansy did a pole dance until a neighbor came and more or less wished us out of there.

We opted to take light rail back to our motel as it was getting much too late; so after taking the wrong train, we eventually ended up at the right one. We got back on the trail and said our goodbyes

It was a beautiful day; not too hot for delicate me and sunny enough for anyone.

for six tanks of gas you could have bought a bike.
