Went out with a good friend for a training ride. Supposed to do 2x20 mins at Tempo, with a warmup, cool down and 10 min rest in between intervals. I have never done a structured training before, and keeping my HR between 132 and 151 for 20 mins was HARD! I feel like I have NEVER ridden that slowly before. In 1:18, we only rode 18.5 miles, but I stuck to the plan. I just hope that it really does pay off.

Oh - we finished the ride with salad, chili, beer, yesterday's stage of Paris-Nice, and booking a trip to CA in June to do some riding - my first AWAY vacation in about 5 years!

    wimp

Yep, wimped out due to cold rain. Instead of going outside like the rest of you lucky ladies, I spent an hour with coach Troy yesterday. The Sufffer-O-Rama... actually fit well with what was on my schedule to do anyway -- power intervals. But Coach Troy made me do WAY more than what the book was asking of me. But, far be it from me to ignore an order! I hung in there. Ouch! But I felt good afterwards. Not as good as if I'd been outside in my shorts, but good enough for now!
