Gorgeous bike! And, I love the source of the name Godiva. Cute. That Italian Jewelry really accents her bare metal quite nicely.

Hey, Beane, have you checked out the FSA Wing Pro? It is a compact non-ergo bend bar and I really love it. Flat into the campy hood. Not quite as short a drop as the Salsa.

The FSA Wing Pro is what I have been drooling about for 2 years or so. But the last time I checked they didn't make it in a 38...??

Ah, sorry...yes, my handlebars are 40cm. I'm tall and while 38cm would be better, I can tolerate 40cm. The Wing Pro is 40cm at the drops, but 39cm at the hoods. It is just a little flair, but just enough to make the drops a skosh more comfortable. Sorry...didn't mean to get your hopes up. It really is a nice bar if it fits.

I have only seen it online. Two questions:
    1) does the flat top part bother you? (obviously not, otherwise you wouldn't say you love the bars, but maybe it took some getting used to?)

    2) what is the groove configuration? (1 or 2? are they tucked into the bottom of the flat?)

    thanks!

Actually, I really like it. It was almost instantly an "aaahhhh" and not a "ooh, that's odd". DH also has the bars and can't go back to round bars. But, then, I don't race, I rde.

Somewhere they are tucked in--I never feel them. I just ran downstairs to look and both cables tuck in at the front underneath. Because you're more resting than grasping the bar, the underside just isn't really there--hard to explain.

Hrm... that all sounds good. I don't race either (ha ha!) and I could do either 40 or 38.

.. i just might have to try them!

p.s. IFJane -- FSA's website says they make the wing pro in a 38
