    As for doing the girl a favour ... I wonder if those "raincoats" have been sewn through or glued. Either way, I doubt they're much use as "raincoats" any more.
    Half-marathon over. Sabbatical year over. It's back to "sacking shirt and oat cakes" as they say here.

    I think that's the point....if a father could make a dress for his daughter's prom...he'd want to protect her best he could against the most pressing disturbances of her future...preganancy, STDs and AIDS.

    I agree..it would be a most loving act. A wish fufillment.

    Besides...it is quite beautiful.
