    Wow!

Before I realized what you meant by "raincoats", I thought, "Wow, that would be a great dress to use in the AIDS/Lifecycle Red Dress Day."

After I realized what you meant by "raincoats," I thought, "Wow, that would really be a great dress to use in the AIDS/Lifecycle Red Dress Day."
I'll get back on the bike soon, I promise!

    I like it.
It's imaginative, colorful, and really not a bad looking dress.
    I would wear it.

Notice the gentleman is wearing a red ribbon. I'm sure it was designed for some sort of design competition.

Yeah. I bet it was a competition for using recycled materials to make garments. I've seen weaver buddies make really cool vests out of garbage bags.

    Recycled? As in reused?

Uh....no. I think they were surplus unused. The vest was great--very chic, actually.

Actually, I meant the 'rain coat" dress first posted.

I don't think her father made it for her!

Flybye - check out the fellow looking at the "party" dress. It's a clue, he has on a name tag type thing, and is wearing a red ribbon pin, isn't that for HIV/Aids awareness? Or anti-drug use or something? I bet this was part of an event to promote awareness about HIV/Aids somehow. Tokie.

Lord, I hope the "raincoats" aren't recycled!

I was curious about this so googled 'condom dress' and found more pics of this one and lots of pics of others. http://ahboon.net/2007/07/19/condom-...show-in-china/ and http://pandagon.blogsome.com/2006/12/08/condom-dresses/ are quite good.
