Good luck!!! Now that the endurance bug is still in my blood, I'm jealous of all the 300k's you guys have. Might have to move west!

for my 300 K Saturday. I had no enthusiasm for the 200 K, even before the weather report caused me to bail. I was not at all excited for the original date of the 300 K. But now I'm really looking forward to it.
It looks like there are only 2 or 3 other women signed up. I don't really like the route from the Golden Gate Bridge out to Fairfax. But I'll suck it up. The rest of the course looks pretty good - a little hilly.
I expect to be fairly slow and I haven't ridden more than 60 miles in a long time, not since September, so jumping to 180 will be interesting. I know I will be thrashed on Sunday. It's a good thing I have 20 hours.

For 3 days, I get to part of a thousand other journeys.
Pedal - you really should come out here for a double or something!!
V - I really wish I were doing the ride. I love the route - so much is similar to the 600k I did - they have revamped the 300k route, I believe from what it was years past. It is going to be a great ride. (The only part I don't like so much is some of the industrial/urban stuff between Petaluma and Santa Rosa. Once you get past Windsor, it's great again.) You have, shall we say "cahones", for tackling that distance with no real long rides this year. But you're just stubborn enough to make it work!I hope you have a great ride, and do call if you end up needing something.
