Snap, I remember being saddened by that version as a child. I don't remember much about old movies and such from childhood, but I remember that one.

Of course I remember snippets from all of the Godzilla movies (so was Mothra a good moth or a bad moth?) and King Kong!

My fave on the other end of the spectrum (i.e., one that makes you laugh instead of cry) is Arsenic and Old Lace. If you haven't seen that one in a while, rent it.
