I had the day off. I was going to go mountain biking at Claremont, But one of my co-workers passed away, and his memorial service is tomorrow. I usually to do at least one "long" ride a week, so I decided to go the Cajon pass(Yes, Mongo still hate to climb, but Mongo practice to hate climbing less)
about a kilo form my house:
I then rode on the rail trail , but I had a detour around "lake Pacific Electric" ( a large puddle that forms when it rains).
I ran into to my friend Bruce climbing up Duncan Canyon Road in Fontana, We talked about our fleche.
I then climbed up through Devore, and got on old route 66:
I climbed up to about 3,000 feet until 66 runs, and then started back. Had to fix a flat
I stopped and bought my Train pass for this month, and then rode by thes old winery:
about half mile from home I had another flat
had 62 miles
Went to put a payment on the Roubiax I have in layaway, and bought some new tires and tubes![]()
Well my baby is 12 years old now... where does the time go?
He's been mainly interested in soccer til now, but is just starting to take a more consistent interest in bikes... his biggest "race" type events have been 10km fun-rides, but with most of us cycling and racing, he is thinking he might like to come along to the club soon.
I love having sons, they are all (4) so awesome.
