That Trail of the Coeur d'Alene is high on the list of places I want to take William. It just looks so, so, (searching for word and failing) bikeable. Sigh.
Give big space to the festive dog that make sport in the roadway. Avoid entanglement with your wheel spoke.

It's supposed to be incredible, they have really done a nice job. My excuse is that I don't have a road bike.

This trail in one of several reasons this die-hard mountain bike gal bought a road bike. THAT's how great it is! Although I'm not one to usually advocate riding a MTB on pavement (why when there's dirt ), this trail is worth it. Something about it is just so peaceful. You really gotta go sometime, Irulan.

Great photos! It sounds like a true mountain biking adventure. That's why it's fun exploring new places on a bike: you never know what you are going to find, and usually you have to go through some crummy stuff to get to some fun trails. Looks like you two reaped the rewards. Thanks for sharing.
