No kidding. Try deep tissue massage of the glutes over busted SI ligaments. I almost hauled off and slugged him, but I was too busy doing Lamaze breathing: HEE HEE HEE HOO.

No prolotherapy, I got corticosteroids. Insurance doesn't cover prolo, even though it makes more sense, prolo builds tissue while the steroids can break it down.

I am not into NSAIDS. I prefer Omega 3 to help the body with its natural antinflammatory abilities. Flax seed or fish oil at 3x what is recommended- so about 1000mg. Wash it all down with four ounces of pomegranate juice, or a nice red zinfandel.

Omega 3's? So I could be having sardines instead of Ibu?

I've got the fish, the hempmilk, the ground flax meal.

Really having a good time cooking with the flax meal. It is cool stuff! Makes yummy pancakes, the pancakes end up extra moist when you add a scoop or two of meal. Thickens sauces, and adds a nice nutty flavor to refried beans.

Ibu is good stuff, but for consumption on a regular basis I'd rather see you eating Omega 3 and 6 instead.

I just read the other day if you put the fish out gels in the freezer, they will cause few unpleasant side effects...ie, burping up fish oil...

I treid pool running today. Just 10 mins. I was afraid to do too much. It did not hurt..so I am hopeful.

I went for a walk today

Not a power walk, or a "fitness walk", just a walk. I got up early and drove to a nearby park that has really nice trails. I walk about 2 miles or so. It did not hurt, and it felt so good to be outside, I can't even tell you.

I also got to spin 3x on my bike this week for 20 mins a session. I have sore leg muscles. Hard to believe I lost that mucg strength in one month.

The biking will come back fast don't worry. The running is harder to regain, but it truly is not like starting all over again. At first it feels like it but then your base kicks in and things get better.

Glad you got to have a walk.

I had my second acupunture session yesterday, I fell asleep on the table. Acu'ist is having me try so Acai berry juice - it's mixed with a bunch of other fruit juices, glucosamine and omega 3 goodies.

I need more streching, since I no longer have my Pilates class. Perhaps I'll try yoga.

LOL... maybe I should teach my man Lamaze... he winces a bit when I do deep massage on his legs, even though he knows they will feel better for it.

Courage does not always roar. Sometimes, it is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying,
    "I will try again tomorrow".

I missed class at the dojo today, but Missy Mae the Mutt and I took an hour long walk and my foot felt good. Although I feel about 90 when I first got up, just being outside felt so good. There was no pain, no limp, good gait etc. Rowing at the gym last week and Aikido helped.

Knott says I need to loose weight. This is not in the "honey you're fat" sense, I need to take stress off the boo boo joints and toe. She's right you know.

I know for my arth I need to increase strength and flexibility.

My usual response to injury is once I'm even slightly better hit the gym and strength train, I dislike stretching so I've often said that my joints are held together with muscle. I've got that part down pat. Now I need more flexibility and find a way to loose weight.
