I've got a good cable lock but will add a u-lock, too.
I probably do have the right clothes but I don't have proper lights. I'll have to wait a few more weeks (at least) for later daylight.I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...

That's great. Is there a cover over it? I lock my bike to one of those racks, and I leave my U-lock locked to it, so it's always there for me (I just need to remember to bring the key!
).
Lights are almost b/c'ing a non-issue already....just in the a.m., really. It's pretty bright until 5:30 already. I'm just about ready to go back to the "be seen, rather than see" lights, and take DH's NightRider system off the bike. But, yeah...the cold is a downer. This a.m. was 20 degrees. The weight of a lock or two can be quite an extra load to haul; as far as leaving it on the rack, how will it fair out in the weather?
How is your carpet bag working out?
With the times of my commute I'd had enough AM light right now, but not enough PM light.I'd rather be swimming...biking...running...and eating cheesecake...
