Yup, I have them too. I hate them. Never had them earlier in life. I thought maybe they were a neurochemical hangover from last year's state of being on constant high alert, but now that I read your posts, I think they probably started a couple of years ago and were magnified by last year's high sustained stress. It's my hope that having a trainer here will let me blow off the chemicals when they hit. Really--that was part of why I got a trainer.

I had one hot flash about two years ago (intense!) and I think the night sweats are over.

That sounds more like some type of arrhythmia (SVT being the most common). I've had short (a few seconds) episodes like you describe as well--it's a weird sensation.
