Noooooo!!! I'm not ready for serious political discussion. Reality is bad enough already in that regard.

Let's get back to the TE highlights party idea. That sounds like fun! When I was in 8th grade and a little hoodlum chick, a bunch of us had one of those "let's put blonde streaks in our hair" parties. Luckily, it didn't work. My parents would have sh*t. Now I get to do it without parental censure. I take my fun wherever I can find it...

Anyone know how to do those little hair wraps with colored thread and beads? I used to love those.

Thumb-sized knob of ginger, sliced thin

    palm full of whole peppercorns

3 big splashes of soy sauce

    4 handfuls of brown rice

All tossed into the crock pot with enough water to cover. I plan to repeat the garlic and maybe the ginger and probably the soy sauce after it cooks a while.
Making this tonight. mmm. We need to make a recipe compilation for TE

I'm a big fan of crock pot cooking, but I never tried putting the chicken in frozen. Does it get cooked through?

Here was last night's crock pot creation:
    Chicken Jambalaya

Cut a pound of chicken into chunks then stir-fry for 2-3 minutes.

Add chicken to crock pot along with three cups of chicken broth (or stock, if you have it) and a can of tomatoes (or chopped fresh if you have them).

Throw in about a cup each of chopped green pepper, onion, and celery (mmm, all that good aromatic stuff). Add a couple of minced garlic cloves, a couple of teaspoonsful of Cajun or Creole seasoning.

Finally, add a half-pound of smoked sausage, and a cup or so of brown rice.

Cook on high for 4-4 1/2 hours. Hot, hearty, healthy.

My blond highlight disappeared with my last haircut and I need to get it done again. I am surprised at how many grey streaks I have now though. They seem to be a nice silvery, not-too-noticeable colour so it's ok for now - I think.

Hmmm, a funny thing happened when Kit tried to cook today...

Thanks for that wonderful recipe Knot. Unfortunately, Kit didn't follow it too closely. It was... um, er... She's choking me now so I'm all done typing. She went through a lot of trouble today to make me a great meal. I love her so much. I really do.

G'night TD, OTA, QM 2 and that drift that apparently can not be named...
