OK, so I got TO the site, was able to view products... and add them to my cart. But everytime I add something to my cart, it deletes what I added before.
Funny.

Why don't they just price the stuff reasonably in the first place. $400+ for a jacket, give me a break. Then they don't have to run 2 day sales and overload the server...... I am not participating, don't have that kind of time.

Well, since it won't keep anyting in my cart... I'm just going to have to order and pay for stuff one at a time.
All I want is a pair of cycling tights and a jacket.

Not you, Queen! Sorry!
I just meant that any retailer who offers 50% off everything ought to be better prepared. I'd bet TE would have planned ahead. If they did this in a brick and mortar store and had to tell people to come back because their cash registers couldn't handle the business, people would freak out on them. I do feel for their poor operators though...they must be having a rough time!
(and don't get me wrong, I like Terry - I have 2 bikes from them one of which I bought off the website...)

You know, this seems like it was originally intended as a private sale, which I admit kind of ticks me off since I've been a customer of Terry for years and wasn't included among those who got advance notice. As I said before, that was for the best because I really don't need anything new, although I'd have bought an Exte Ondo jersey I've had my eye on, had I known I could get it for half off. I readily admit to having a case of sour grapes over this, even though fate served me well by keeping me from breaking out the MC or Visa (why the heck don't they accept Amex?). LOL.![]()
Makes you wonder if they really intended this to turn into a inadvertent inventory clear out right before the Xmas shopping season really ramps up! I checked their website today and it seems like the pickings are slim at best.
Well, I just went and ordered what I wanted one by one. I got a pair of cold weather cycling tights with padding and a jacket... all for $150. That's cheap for those 2 items.![]()

My order went through as far as I can tell (I was extraordinarily patient yesterday morning) but a certain credit card company seems to keep losing my new address. I changed the address on-line and received an email confirmation. I had two transactions declined (one at the grocery store which doesn't care where I live!) so I called the company and spoke to two people. My new address was re-entered and I was assured all was well now.
Guess what? Another decline until I entered the old address. Terry can't get into their database to confirm if my CC went through on their order. I have to wait.
The CC company shall remain nameless but I've asked them if what is in their wallet will return to my wallet.
I guess in the greater scheme of things this is all small potatoes to whine about but it's plain ol' embarrassing at the grocery store with everyone standing in line. How do you announce in a friendly loud voice, "Believe me! I've lots of credit! I paid my bill!"
