Oh my gosh i am laughing right now. You have already looked into the price of them? That is funny. We found mine on Craig's list. It was ment to be I think. When we first called they seemed to have another buyer from out of state. It was a scam. They send you a $5,000.00 cashiers check (it's fake) and say they are giving you extra + shipping + money to take it off the craig's list. You ship the bike off and think you have all this extra money. Till the bank tells you 30 days later that it's a fruad. They reported it cause it didn't feel right and sure enough they were told not to do it. That is when they called us back and asked if we were still interested. And lucky me!
I wake up in the morning trying to think of where i could go first. I have to ride my road bike today though first.
I don't want to end up with a pair of saddle bags!lol.

    no two strokes please!

before everyone goes out and buys a scooter, pleeeeeeeeease do your research and avoid buying one with a two-stroke engine. they produce HUGE emissions!

So what should we look for instead of a "two stroke" engine?

The 49cc scooter we're looking at is a 4-stroke. The 2-strokes would be very very low end.

I think both the Vino and Metropolitan are 4 stroke now. (one of 'em used to be 2-stroke, was it the Metro?)

Anyway, yeah, no 2-strokes with the oil that mixes with the gas and gets blown joyfully out the tailpipe to add extra goobers to the atmosphere. "The lungs you save may be your own..."
