    I produce sand all the time. It tends to generate more from the friction in my clothes. But I have noticed the folds of skin and my ears seem to produce it as well. It is a good thing or I might have a hard tme finding sand for all the sand sculptures I do.

    Anyone know "Dr Science" from NPR. This sounds like something that would be on that.

    Actually, we have these glands right under our skin and we secrete it sort of like sweat.

    Young boys' sweat isn't the proper consistency so it comes out looking like ground up rocks. As they get older and the consistency of their sweat changes, the clumps start to stick together like adding water to flour. At a certain point, it comes out looking like women's hair but it doesn't need to be conditioned.
