The conti supersonic tires are racing tires. They will not hold up for lots of miles.

I do have silver bar tape that I've not yet installed. I'll wait til this tape gets a little older.

SR500, I like the Race X Lites too, but I wanted an aero rim since much of my mileage is alone and for triathlon racing. Are you the one whose husband asked me about Share the Road?
Yes, he has hit a bit of a bump with the Share the Road signs. Right now the local "club" is pushing the city for offical bike routes, so "they" decided to hold off on the signs for now.

    Speaking of DH,

DH here: Hi, I use Fizik Microtex Bar Tape in silver and love it. Looks great, cheap, great feel, I have it on all my bikes.

Mr. SR500, did I mention when I sent you the info earlier that we had to give up on the "club" to do anything and struck out on our own. Only after we got the ball rolling did the "club" decide to get on the bandwagon and now says that they got it started. We're not in it for the glory and so we let it ride.

Do you have a picture of that tape on your bike? I saw it when I did a search on the net, but this from the shop was a known quantity with no shipping cost (they had it in stock when I bought it the first time for my 1000).

Are you guys going to be at the Hilly?

    Mr. here:

Here is the bike with some new Conti 4000s rubber. Unrelated, but I broke a spoke yesterday so the wheels is going to the shop today. I get the wrap from BikeTiresDirect.com, but it should be easy enough to find. I've used it on 5 bikes now.

I'm moving forward on the share the road signs, but this month they are making the final presentation on the bike routes, so I'll get my ducks in a row this winter, and have something ready this spring.

I thought about the hilly solo, but it's our anniversary this weekend, as well as a hayride, soccer, etc... All our good sitters graduated, so we might drive down with the kids and another couple Sat to take in the atmosphere and vendor tent, but no riding.

Mr. SR500 that is one fine looking bike! It looks to be about my size (58cm?)whenever you want to upgrade.
