I love the t-shirt idea too. I've been into a "getting LBS shirts from other cities" moods. I'm going to NY in November and am already checking out the bike shops for while I'm there

I think you both should contact the organizer. While she may not be able to resolve it, I'm sure she'd try. I'm sure the people you sent items to both appreciated them, though!

Anyway, I want to be in on the next one, I haven't participated in ages!
I vote for water bottles or cold weather stuff!

    organizeerrr

I organized the last one & i did my best sending messages to folks asking if they sent their item. We have this every time a ss exchange happens.

It's often gremlins at the post office but not all the time..

If anyone does want to organize the next one all you need to do is create a simple spreadsheet & ensure you have a send & a receive box.

I second what CC said from an organizers standpoint. The last two I organized I tried to stay on top of things, however, all we can do is send out friendly nudges; it is up to the actual person to get the package to the post office. On several occassions I would have participants send me a PM asking me to let their SS know that they had not been forgotten and to be patient - I was happy to forward these notes and I think their SS appreciated hearing that they had not been forgotten. Please if you participate let the organizer or your SS know if you will be late getting your package in the mail - no one likes to be forgotten. These exchanges are meant to be bring joy into our lives they are not meant to be not painful.

You can count me in too. If Brandi is unable to organize the "fall" SS until Nov time that is okay with me. I would be willing to do it-so it could be a more Oct/Nov if others wanted to do it earlier, up to Brandi and you folks. I could do an Oct one and Brandi could do a Nov. one. I've never organized before so I might need some pointers, I can't organize the silverware drawer somedays either. And leave the Dec as the xmas card exchange like we did last year (I already bought theme related cards in anticipation). I was thinking of something, and not sure if it's even appropriate, I have to figure out how to put it into words to make sense here so bear with me. the names go in, and persons A & B exchange with each other only, persons C&D exchange with themselves. Do you think that would ensure that persons don't get left out? Just suggesting, I have no clue here, like I said I'm game for anything, and willing to try anything..Its up to all of you and Brandi.

*sigh* I wish I could do this, but this time is so busy for me that I can't guarantee that I'd remember to do it. How about something in May, when it isn't such a crazy time?
