Hey Snap- I think I did part of the route today-i.e. Marshall Wall, coming from the Cheese Factory. We turned left at Marshall, looks like the Holstein turns right. Also looke like the big climb is about 10 miles out of Tomales. Must be going over the coastal hills, right?

I hit the Marshall Wall at 51 miles, looks like you all hit it later- thus a bit more tired!

August 21st is the Napa Century. So, not sure I will do this one!

Yup, the Cheese Factory rides usually go up the Marshall Wall. Last year's Holstein approached it going east - which looks a lot tougher. There was a whole lot of whining in the parking lot from the returning riders!

Valley Ford Rd out of Tomales is a peach , I think Marshall-Petaluma is more challenging though - simply because of the length.

I was thinking the same thing going down the western side of the wall into Marshall. It seemed to go on for a long time.

Hey Ladies... I'm looking at my Krebs map and wondering if you know which road they'll most likely take "north to Bodega" from Tomales, like it says on the site.

Also, I noticed there is a difference between my South Bay Krebs and this one. The gradients are not the same. On the Wine Country one, one chevron is 3 - 5%, where on my South Bay one, one chevron is 4 - 6%. I wonder why they did it that way. Well, anyway, I guess that means the one and two chevron climbs could be easier!!! NOT!!

Usually it crosses over to Dillon Beach, then goes up Vally Ford to the town of Bodega (not Bodega Bay). I'll have to look at my map tonight and see if I remember correctly.
