Uh, just thinking about this team photo thing. Do we need to do it before the ride? V is taking off to help Thom at the DMD. Are you 50-milers going to wait around for us 75-milers? Will you be there when we get there? The logistics are making my head hurt but a team picture would be wicked cool.

Another big question - do we put the tattoos on the right or left? Which side of the road will the photographer be on?

    On Your Left!!!!

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, champagne in one hand, strawberries in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming: "Yeah Baby! What a Ride!"

What time is your ride tomorrow AV?

My very first organized ride is tomorrow - 50 miles (my first 50 miles too) to support the local YMCA. Our departure time is 7:30 (they Obviously didn't consult me about a more civilized start time when they set this up!) I picked it because A) it was one of the very Few things they do on a Sat here in ABQ and B) it was on the same day as the Top Hat. Since I"m an hour ahead of ya'll, I'll be on the road when you get started but I"ll be checking my clock for your start times and thinking of ya'll sort of in a "virtual ride" kinda way!

Aww, I'm touched. Check in starts at 6:30 am and those of us riding the 75-miler can be on the road at 7 am. Half the team is driving down from the Sacramento area with a minimum 2 to 2 1/2 hr drive to get there. I'll do my best to keep the whining to a low level hum.

I'll probably take off pretty close to when I finish the ride. We need to be at our rest stop before 2. So it would be nice to do the photo before if we can. Or you can just leave an empty space for me.

I'm riding the 50, but I'm willing to get up early and be there before the 75ers head out. I'm staying in Pleasanton Friday night, so I don't have to get up too early. My hotel is only a few miles from the start.

My husband will be hanging around the hotel and wandering the streets of Pleasanton until I'm finished, so I won't be haning around too long after the ride.

I'm doing the 50, but I'm going to sign in with 75s so I can get out early.

Veronica, if they won't let you out on the course you could tell them you're doing the 75 and then "change your mind" at the appropriate rest stop.

How about whoever gets there first is in charge of signing us up for the team photo? I emailed everyone my cell phone so you can call me and tell us where to go. All 8 of us from the east will be caravaning down together.

snapdragen reporting in. I'm in Dublin tonight, so I can get there early too. Just give me a time - I'll be there. The 75 milers are checking in at 6:30 - so how 'bout 6:45? AG? Capt'n jo?

If need be - we'll do a team photo with our own cameras so y'all don't have to hang around too long in the morning.

Tatoos....hmmm. Last time Winnerphoto was on both sides and the middle! So either or both legs should work. Add to tomorrow's list:
    snap! Don't forget your tatoos!!!

    More important fashion questions

What's the decision on the tattoo? Left, right? Back of calf or side?

I tattooed my bike too! On the back of the seatpost. Looks much better than it will on my leg.

So, meet about 6:45 in the registration/team area? It's not usually very crowded in the a.m., most of those thousands (?) of riders seem to arrive later for the shorter routes. And usually, once you've got your route map you can start riding.
